Who exactly is "The Yard Barber"

 

I am. My name is Josh Lygrisse. I am the founder and owner of The Yard Barer.  I was born and raised in Wichita and love it here. I am proud to be a graduate from Wichita State University with a bachelors degree in International business. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a love for the outdoors. As a child I spent a lot of my youth outdoors with my brother and sisters. I am proud to have earned my rank as Eagle Scout, and am grateful for the discipline and life skills learned through the Boy Scouts of America. This experience gave me a great appreciation and love for the outdoors and that winning spirit needed to run a business.

 

I started mowing lawns in High School as a part time job. I used that business to put myself through college completely debt free and officially started The Yard Barber in 2010. Since then I am happy to report that the business has steadily grown and we have an extremly high retention rate with many of our customers still with us from those early days when I was in High School. We have also been a multiple time recipient for the "Best of Business" award from the Small Business Community Association (SBCA).

Do You require that I sign a contract?

 

We do not. In some cases you might prefer a contract we are happy to oblige. Generally our residential customers do not enter a contract so that they have the freedom to change their service should they move for a job or their budget changes. Often our commercial customers prefer to be on contract so that they can budget for a fiscal year.

 

We know that life can throw curveballs at times also. So, we don't want you to feel tied up in a contract if you suddenly have to move away from work, become ill, or have a change in employment. We only ask that if for any reason you do need to stop utilizing our services that you give us an honest review of your experience with us and hopefully a referral to your friends and family.

Are you insured.

 

Yes, absolutely. It is illegal in Kansas to operate a lawn care business without proper liability insurance. This insurance is carried to protect you in the unlikely event that some of your property becomes damaged during our care. If damage occurs we will work with you to ensure that it is fixed or replaced to its previous or better condition.

 

We also make sure that we are properly registered with the state of KS to maintain our DOT compliance, health care and other licensing.

How do I pay my bill.

 

We feel we have the easiest and most convenient payment system around. Payment is due the day the service is performed. We accept cash, check, debit and credit cards.

 

We offer a secure online system to accept electronic payments. Once you have created a secure account with us you may enter your preferred payment method. Once service is performed you will automatically be billed for that service and will be e-mailed a receipt that same day. You may access your account at any time to manage your payments and view your payment history. We have found that this method is preferrable to the vast majority of our customers who like knowing the status of their account at any given time. It also prevents the risk of late fees and penalties.

 

If you are unable to utilize the electronic payment methods we will gladly accept cash, checks, and plastic in person.
